Monel 400 Round Bar

Monel 400 is an alloy made from a combination of nickel and copper and is usually formulated in proportions of approximately 67 percent nickel and 33 percent copper.

Alloy 400's alkaline resistance capabilities make it a good choice for deployment in environments where it is subjected to highly acidic substances, such as salt water, sulfuric acid or hydrofluoric acid. Additional treatments can be applied to give nickel alloy 400 magnetic properties, thus broadening its range of potential uses. It is significantly harder, stronger and more corrosion-resistant than pure nickel, and its default hardness characteristics can be increased by exposing the alloy to cold-working processes.
